WASP_1 |
![]()
The WASP_1 is the latest design to be published for homebuilders. The engine is a completely new design intended to fill the gap between the MW54 and KJ66. Designed thrust is 18 Lbs yet with a smaller case size than the KJ66 makes this an attractive engine for a large range of models. Plans, parts and complete engines are available. Historic information added

KJ66 |
| The KJ66 has been the most successful of all small gas turbines. Kurt has achieved a thrust of 16-18 lbs from the use of high throughput compressor and cast turbine. A number of suppliers make parts available. |

Kamps |
| The Kamps Micro turbine was the first to give improved power from the use of a turbocharger compressor. Thrust is up to 11 lbs. Like the FD3 this design is dated and there are many improvements required to get reliable performance, Many modifications are detailed in back copies of the GTBA newsletter.
